Ganzhou Hong Kong Industry Garden is located in core industry garden extending to northwest position of Ganzhou Economic Technology Development Area with 50km2 surface area, including north area about 21 km2, which accepts I-type project and II-type project, and south area about 29 km2, which accepts I-type industry project and living, business dwelling facilities. The Garden is constructed by cooperation of Ganzhou People's Government and Hong Kong Construction (Stock) Co.Ltd in Ganzhou Economic Technology Development Area. The Garden adopts "high-standard plan, market-orientated operation, high-efficiency service, most favorable policies" development mode, and constructs joint venture company-Ganzhou Hong Kong Industry Garden Development Co.Ltd. According to thoughts of "wholly plan, run step by step, apply for approval one by one, intensively develop", the joint venture shall be in charge of the Garden's development and construction cost by supplying excellent basic facilities, the most favorable investment policies, the best investment service, the least investment cost so as to provide a perfect transferring, development and updating condition for enterprises in Hong Kong and Pearl River Delta. And it shall construct Ganzhou Hong Kong Industry Garden to be a modern, internationalized, creative and ecologic industry garden with perfect function series, industry group development, auto-creative enterprises and fine ecology environment and to be an important transferring base for Hong Kong and Pearl River Delta.
Meanwhile, the joint venture shall integrate current export processing and bonded logistics center, trying to build the garden as a "comprehensive bonded area"; perfect the third industry in accordance with producing such as logistics, warehousing, finance, insurance and inquiry so as to make the garden an important logistics trade area in Pearl River Delta hinter land.
The Garden plans a development period of 8-10 years, divided into 5 periods. The development area in the first period is 11.4km2. The cost of the whole garden's basic construction shall be about 15,000,000,000Yuan. After the whole construction being finished, about 1000 enterprises shall be accepted. The enterprise fixed asset is 100,000,000,000Yuan to get annual main business income 310,000,000,000Yuan and annual tax 15,000,000,000Yuan.
Ganzhou Economy & Technology Development Area is a provincial-level development area established by Jiangxi People's Government in August of 1993, located in Ganzhou's western district. It is a provincial development area with four towns, one avenue office. Its surface area is about 219 km2 with a population of about 260,000. There are Hong Kong Industry Garden, National-level export processing area, nonferrous metal industry basis, machine manufacturing base, and high school area in the Garden. It is an intensive area of high-tech industry, a main platform of trade and investment, and an important increase part of financial income, a main accepting part of enterprises' transfer from urban area to rural area and a new area of Ganzhou City center.
The development area is a national main leading of complementing "business into the West" strategy. It is praised as "A Key Transferring Place of Processing Trade's Gradient Transferring" by Commercial Department in 2007. In 2006，it was confirmed to be "Jiangxi Provincial Tungsten and Rare Earth Industry Base" by Jiangxi Province Development and Reform Committee. On December 17th, 2007, it was confirmed to be a tungsten and rare earth new material technology trade promotion creative base. From then on, it became one of 38 national technology trade promotion creative bases.
